In the world of software development, it's common knowledge that developers introduce bugs (a common term for a defect, glitch, or mistake in a computer program, machine, or plan) into the software that they will fix later, thus ensuring future employment.

As a maker (a person who builds or produces something), it's common to perform a task the wrong way, to perform tasks out of order, to forget steps within a task, or, in other words, to screw up.

As a father, it's my responsibility to impart character (the aggregate of features, traits, and qualities that distinguish an individual) into my children. The easiest way to accomplish this is to raise your children "wrong", or in other words, to screw them up.

As Bob Ross would describe it, "We don't make mistakes, just happy accidents."
